I literally have one hour to write this post before our agreed “deadline.” I confess I didn’t wisely steward my evening to prepare me to write this morning. Triggers got the best of me and I spun into ugly habits of old.

I wish it was a different story. I want to rewrite last night as successful: wash up, wind down, meditate, get comfy, and get to bed. I want to rewrite this morning: wake up vibrant, clear-headed, and ready for the day.

The thing is – No matter how “perfect” our plans and intentions are, we will still fail. We will make mistakes. Our plans will fall through. It’s about how you respond and pick yourself back up – or not.

My evening and morning looked quite the opposite of what I’d consider ideal. Yes, I wish I could rewrite the script. However since that’s not possible, I’ll write a new script – starting Today. Have you heard that quote something along the lines of “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” That’s a great attitude to have.

Life is meant to be lived, not controlled. We are humans, not robots. It’s beautiful that we can plan, change, and adapt. The pulling and stretching transforms us into beautiful people, if you so choose.

Life is beautiful. Let’s start living like it.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

Much ❤,
Amy
